I saved most of the best sunflower pictures I took this summer/fall, and I've been meaning to do this post for a while. Although sunflowers aren't my top favourite flower, they're probably a close second. They have many different colour patterns and they are so bright and cheerful-looking, it's hard not to enjoy them. (And this year a few of them actually dried out to the point where I was able to harvest the seeds off of them. I think that was the first time we've had our own home-grown sunflower seeds, and the ones that didn't quite ripen will be getting hung out for the birds during the winter.)
Anyway, here are those photos.

Sunflowers are so pretty, it’s strikes me how they look like the human eye.
