All of the seeding is done, aside from the beans! And the constant rain was replaced with a handful of sunny days, which was then replaced with wind. It has been quite windy for the last few days, so it's been a bit of a change! Okay, my first couple of pictures for today! This is the evening of May 26th. There was a fairly nasty-looking storm rolling in, but you have to admit the clouds do look neat. (I find that often, storm clouds have the neatest shapes.) Four from May 27th. I took another shot of that yellow tulip, and also of one of the more recently opened tulips. I'm pretty sure the package of the white and red tulip bulbs said something about Canada Day, and you can see why. It looks like a red maple leaf inside the tulip. These ones are my favourites so far. And speaking of maple leaves, the next picture is sort of a recreation of the photo I took last spring. I didn't manage to get the blue sky in this one, but the sun is still shining through the branches. Last picture from that day; a honeybee gathering pollen from the dandelions. I thought she would fly away before I got a close shot, but she seemed too busy to notice how close my camera lens was. Clouds on May 29th: May 30th: the fairly freshly seeded rows of wheat. I always think the rows look neat if you look at them from a distance. Then the sunset from that evening, and a picture of the sun just barely shining through the trees. Then from this morning. I usually get up around half past six, and right now the sun is rising about ten after five. So most of the time during the spring and summer, I miss the sunrises. I wouldn't have ever seen this sunrise either, if I hadn't had to get up at four to drive a friend to the airport. After I dropped my friend off and was leaving town, just before I turned onto the highway to head home, I could see a bit of the sunrise and what I could see was beautiful. All the way home I kept glancing in my mirrors and sometimes throwing a quick look over my shoulder, trying to get a glimpse of the sunrise. When I got home, I quietly got my camera and headed back outside to the road to take a few pictures. There was a lot more vivid orange and pink waves and streaks while I was driving, before I got my camera, but it still looked really pretty by the time I managed to get some pictures. Then I turned around and decided to take a picture of the trees, which were glowing an orangey-pink in the light. And then partway through the morning, I finally remembered to run down to the apple tree and get some photos of the blossoms. It's a little weird - last year the apple tree had only a few blossoms, while the plum tree was exploding with them. This year the plum tree barely bloomed at all, and yet the apple tree is full of flowers.
Anyway, they're all definitely pretty flowers, so here's what I got!

The blossoms always make for a pretty picture.
