Well, due to an unexpected event, I've certainly gotten behind in keeping this blog updated. Now I currently have over 80 pictures I set aside for blog posts, so I'm going to split them up over a few different posts. Okay, when I said "major catch-up", I meant "major". I'm taking you all the way back to August 31 to start this post. These three pictures are of the sunrise from three different angles on the morning of the 31st. September 2nd: The last poppies of summer, and the mountain ash berries (with a woodpecker in the center of the second picture). Interesting clouds on the morning of September 3rd, and later the sunset. Here's a bunch from September 5th. Goldfinches (you can see that a third one joined the original two in the second picture): That day, I'd been tramping through the bushes taking pictures of all the different mushrooms, and Dragon was following me everywhere. I walked past a tall lilac bush that had an abandoned robin's nest in it, and then crouched down to take some shots of some little mushrooms. The next thing I know, I hear a noise behind me. So I turned to look, and Dragon had somehow seen the nest and climbed the lilac bush to investigate. I went over to get him down and see if there was anything in it. All that was there was an old, broken egg. Later that day, I saw a poppy that looked almost like a rose: The mountain ash berries looked really pretty against the blue sky: We got some nice-looking cabbage this year: And some pictures of the flowers we planted . . . which, most of them are still alive and blooming as I type this. Sun shining through the mountain ash berries and some maple leaves that evening, and a cedar waxwing sitting in the tree for his supper: Sunset on September 6th (check out the times in the captions. I think it's neat how sunsets/sunrises can change so much in so little time): And finally, this is our new kitten Holly, whom we got on September 7th. That's all for now, I'll do another post in a couple of days!

The sky changes so quickly there, it is a constant new show every time you blink. Such beauty in God’s creation, breath taking!

Your flowers are still so beautiful! Our sunrises and sunsets have been quite lovely this fall…you’ve captured some great pictures of them! Rex must have been pretty disappointed about the empty nest😁. Your kitten is a pretty one. I enjoy all the pictures of God’s magnificent creations. Thank you, Leah💕
