Only a couple of today's pictures will be of wild roses, but I'm happy that they've finally bloomed! First is from June 8th. The blue jay parents were teaching their baby to fly. (I say "baby" because I don't think anyone saw any other young ones, which was a little odd because I thought they would have had more babies than that.) That little guy sat around under the trees all day long. He'd move from place to place but he was always on the ground. The parents were constantly hanging around as well, aware that he was down there, but he didn't seem to be making any effort to fly at all. Unfortunately, when I went down there that evening (with the intention of putting the baby back in his nest if he was still on the ground), he had died. I don't know if he got injured or something when he left the nest, but I did get some pictures of him earlier in the day when somebody first found him sitting on the ground. Sunset on the evening of the 9th: And then on the 10th, the first wild rose I picked this year, along with a small bunch of bluebells. Neat-looking storm clouds coming in on the evening of the 11th: And a few from the 12th. The baby sparrows, grown quite a bit now; and Rex sitting in the middle of one of the small plots of wheat. I don't know why he decided to wander out there and sit right in the middle, but it looked kind of funny. Plus another picture of a wild rose, this time with a lilac, which are also some of my favourite flowers. And finally, the sunset yesterday evening (June 13th).

Thank you for all the wonderful pictures you’ve posted over the last while! I love the new life photos…birds and flowers. So sad about the baby blue jay😔…how disappointing! Rex looks pretty small in the large field, he was probably eyeing a mouse.
