Shortly after my last post, we got a shipment that was a little different from most deliveries we get. These were custom-made crates for packaging produce in. This was March 18th. While we were waiting for my dad to unload them all from the truck, I accidentally noticed a small icicle hanging from the branch of a nearby lilac bush. And then we had another pretty sunset that night: Rex and Dragon conked out on the porch in near-identical positions on March 19th: On March 26th Dad called for us all to look out the window, and there were at least four robins hopping around out there - the first ones of the year! March 28th was crazy. In all my years of living here, I have never seen so much snow fall all at once in less than 24 hours. I think we had over a foot by the time it finally stopped. That's usually about what we get over a few snowfalls, not just one! Sun shining through the snow-covered spruce trees on March 29th: On April 3rd, we moved my sister's ducks to a different location in the yard, away from the chickens. Apparently they didn't like that, because halfway through the day somebody noticed that the ducks had somehow gotten all the way across the backyard and the front yard without anyone noticing them, and were bathing in a puddle right near the chicken run. My sisters herded them back, and then right around suppertime, we caught the ducks in the act of running away from their new home. Then on April 12th, we had accumulated quite a number of eggs after being away for a short time. I washed them all and lined them up, then thought that looked neat and took a picture.

So professional with the farm name on the crates. Very exciting.

Such beautiful sunset pictures! I like how your cats are curled up exactly the same….and those ducks are so funny! They look so determined to get to their old home. The different colours of eggs is pretty neat. The snow was amazing, I loved it! Thanks for sharing your interesting pictures!
