A New Snowfall (and a few other things)

It dumped a bunch of snow on the night of March 9th/10th, and although it all melted fairly quickly, when I first looked out the window on the morning of the 10th, there was quite a bit of snow piled up on the tree branches!

I loved the way the sun was shining through some stormy-looking clouds on the evening of March 11th:

And then on March 15th, we had a female Pileated woodpecker on the log feeder, and a male Downy woodpecker on the suet feeder. There's a pretty big size difference between those two woodpeckers!

Fresh snow looks so pristine, you just want to jump into that and ruin it. Lol, Why?
You can see so much activity in a stormy sky, never boring, always fascinating.
That pileated woodpecker brings a welcome splash of colour to a white winter. So nice.

The spring snow is often so beautiful because it clings to the trees more! When most people are groaning when we get the spring snows, I always feel it’s a bit of a gift. I enjoy the beauty.
It’s pretty neat when you get to see the different woodpeckers at the same time! They are lovely birds! ❤️
